General Appointment, Session and Program FAQ

Q: How much time should I allow for my first appointment or session?
A:
For your first initial individual office session/appointment ,please allow approximately 2 hours or more. Typically, follow up appointments are approximately 1 hour unless outlined otherwise.  Sessions by phone for Coaching, Visualization, Hypnosis and Consultations vary according to program.

Q: How do I know or choose a method or program?
A: Together, we will agree upon a plan of action that fits your needs, schedule, timeframe and investment.  Sessions and Coaching plans can range from a few sessions to a year long commitment.  It all depends on what you are ready for and what you choose to accomplish.  To make a lifestyle change, remove a habit, create new choices, explore your inner self all encompass you committing the time for you. The methodologies and personal coaching strategies designed By Renee  help you make easy, incremental and permanent shifts and changes that otherwise alone, you would not achieve to move you to a higher level of life satisfaction and well-beingf

Q: What may be included in my appointment?
A:
Each appointment is different depending on the client’s goal, coaching, tools and methods utilized. During your first appointment, together, we will review your wellness objective, timeframe, and select methods to accomplish reaching your target. Sessions can include a variety of methods, approaches, & techniques. All are simple, easy and effective.

Q: How will I feel in a session using imagery, visualization, hypnosis, focused relaxation technique, etc?
A: Wonderful! Most every session involves being in a relaxed state of mind. So always expect to be relaxed, present and focused. The focus is always on you! All my clients LOVE the feeling of being so deeply relaxed and peaceful. 

 


Relaxation Methods

Q: I have never utilize visualization or self-hypnosis- what does it feel like?
A:
Each is a very relaxing state of mind. Self-hypnosis is a natural, normal, relaxed and focused state of mind different but very similar to guided imagery, visualization and meditation. You actually do visualize or receive "hypnosis" daily, but without your specific intent. 

Q: Does a person maintain "control” while deeply relaxed?
A: Always!
You are always in control and your subconscious mind will not allow you to accept suggestions or wording that conflicts with your values, morals or personal beliefs. As you Wellness Coach, I am your guide and I specialize in assisting you to connect and reach a relaxed state of mind. You simply allow this natural process to easily happen, willingly,  just like when you get engrossed in a good movie or focused reading a book or even like daydreaming. 

Q: Will I remember the session?
A:
Yes, most clients remember most of or all of the session.  Most importantly, your subconscious mind will hear everything as it is always awake.  This is the part of your mind that takes in the suggestions for positive change and controls virtually all of your autonomic body functions.

Q: Does visualization-self-hypnosis always provide results?
A: YES!
Visualization and self-hypnosis are always successful! And they do so very easily, safely, and effectively.  In fact, you are already experiencing the effects of it in your daily life.  We all are "hypnotized"  or "guided visually" to think, believe, suggest or influence our thoughts.  Usually this is not known by your conscious mind.  The majority of my clients who see to be "hypnotized" are really going to be "de-hypnotized" to remove, eliminate or shift a thought pattern or suggestion that is not working for them.   My clients are happy with this process and are pleased to know it is safe, normal, natural and that they can learn and with practice and guidance, successfully use this process with intent to create more of what they do want in their life!  All clients happily receive many more benefits from these sessions than expected or even thought possible!  All receive, new and unnoticed benefits from sessions and CD's many, many months after their session or program.  The benefits are for life....yours! The mind is truly amazing!

Q: How deeply relaxed do I need to be to receive the suggestions successfully?
A:
Not necessarily deep at all – in fact, many clients prove to receive and notice benefits from being in a light to mid level of relaxation.  Whatever level you achieve is just the right one for you!

Insurance & Referrals FAQ

Payment Types Accepted:
Payment is due at the time of your appointment for in office sessions.  Phone sessions require prepayment.  Cash, Check, Debit Card or Credit Card, MasterCard, Visa, Discover are all accepted.   You may prepay on this website or if you prefer using PayPal and send to
Renee@internalfocus.com. Prepayment can also be sent via US Mail.  Please note: a fee of $40 is automatically assessed for all returned checks.

Policies on Cancellations and No-Shows:
For office Sessions or Phone Sessions - Your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you. Please be prompt to obtain your full session. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify our office at least 24 hours prior to your appointment via phone only.  You are financially responsible for the time reserved. If you must cancel or reschedule an appointment due to an emergency, please advise my office as soon as possible. Otherwise, a minimum charge of $100.00 will apply. Thank you for your understanding and adherence to this policy.

Insurance Information:
The practices utilized are considered complementary and may be eligible for Flexible Spending Account (FSA) recovery. Renee Snider, Internal Focus,  is listed as a complementary care Holistic Practitioner Provider with discounts for services offered through Healthways WholeHealth Networks. Participating Insurance companies include - Anthem/Wellpoint, AARP, Aetna, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Humana, Group Health Cooperative, Highmark and others. Please bring your insurance information with you to receive your discount.  Smoking cessation expenses are allowable as a tax deduction! (Reference IRS Publication 502).   By request, a statement can provided for you to file for reimbursement under a Flexible Spending Account or employee benefit plan for Weight Management or Smoking Cessation.  

Medical/physician referrals:
For diagnosed medical or mental health condition, a signed, written referral from your licensed medical or mental health professional is required. You may call or visit your doctor and request a written referral. For you convenience, here is a doctor referral form that can help expedite this process for you and your doctor.

Cost for Wellness Events, Retreats, Corporate Programs, Classes, Seminars
The charges for these services are determined by the specific event, venue, program, length, location, and other considerations and are quoted on a “per event” basis.  

Client Referral Bonus Program:
Referrals from satisfied clients are always appreciated! For each new client referral, receive a $25 credit toward your next appointment or product.
